About Jason
Building has always felt like a natural path for me. I started my apprenticeship at 16 and knew early on this was what I wanted to do.
I spent six years learning the craft with my first employer, gaining a strong foundation in custom home building and a real appreciation for quality, detail, and doing things properly.
After that, I took some time out and travelled around Australia in a Holden panel van for a year. It gave me a different perspective on how people live, the landscapes we build in, and the kind of homes that truly work in the Australian environment.
When I returned, I spent four years subcontracting before starting my own building business in 1996, the same year my son Zahne was born. From there, I went on to build a wide range of custom homes, each one shaped around the people who would live in them.
Over time, building became something more than just my work. When Zahne decided university wasn’t for him, he joined me as an apprentice, along with my wife Tania. That shift brought a new energy and direction, and it naturally led us to rethink how we wanted to build into the future.
Little Luxe Haus came from that decision. Moving into modular construction has allowed us to focus on what matters most to us, thoughtful design, efficient building, and creating homes that feel modern, considered, and connected to the Australian lifestyle.
